music

I enjoy singing for singing's sake and love all music. Having had the good fortune to be influenced by the likes of Lindisfarne (who always had fun with music), Runrig and Norah Jones, and with a passion for soul, blues, gospel, folk, rock, pop and everything in between I sing pretty much all the time.

In 2008 I began working with talented singer-songwriter Richard Dunn (one of the finest guitarists I know), performing locally as an acoustic singer.

In 2009 I joined Edinburgh blues band Doc Rodent and now perform in and around the Edinburgh area singing music by the greats like Robert Johnson and Screamin' Jay Hawkins.

In 2010 my friends and I formed Curious Earl, a funk rock band for whom I wrote our debut song Live High. We still get together from time to time in various forms and gig.

In 2011 I was fortunate enough to perform with Gregg Wright, legendary blues rock guitarist who played for none other than Michael Jackson himself. THIS is the stuff my dreams are made of. :D

2012 is the year my Scottish album, The Gathering debuted. Besides performing around Edinburgh I am also working on my album of original work for which I take inspiration from the likes of Nerina Pallot. And I remain available for functions, gigs and radio work as well as being open to offers for collaborative ventures. Please get in touch if you are interested in discussing it further.

2013? Who knows? This is a page still unwritten. :)
